who is the baby at 1:25.55???

My favorite part starts around 1:35:33 and ends around 1:41:10...the part where he prays in the bar, gets punched, and associates the punch with the prayer. I think we've all been there.

Society has turned away from the basis of Christianity. And look where it's brought us...Drugs, wars, unfriendly, cold people in the street, no sense of harmony or anything... I wish we could just go back to this age and live our youths like this. Unfortunately it's too late for me- I'm 17

Black and white or in color, this film is amazing!

If you like the villages and just the movie in general ... has some good stuff. Search for a blog called bedford falls sentinel using blogger. From the paper in the movie.

Horrible movie is the best but in color that fails in color don't do it to such a great movie!
The part when he gets to the bridge and wants to live again always brings tears to my eyes. Favorite Christmas movie

It's not an accident that this movie touches so many people so deeply. In part, it's a reminder of what we've lost in this modern age, but will always have a need for: family, friends, community and a faith in God. There's also a recognition in IAWL -- especially in the film's ending -- that we all really do influence and are in some way a part of each other's lives. A bit prophetic, perhaps, of the next life, where we'll all be together and truly know each other in one, loving family.
