@0927Randy That's called Focus.  The flip's focus is very poor when up close, where as the iPhone can adjust. The Flip is HD 720P.

The color looks better on the Flip, but the focus is better on the iPhone. I would go for the iPhone, because you can edit the color in iMovie or another application, but the Flip is a unitasker.

I prefer iphone video because colours look faithful to me. But Flip one has got better handle of highlight (brightest part) while iphone 4 had highlight blown out which is a problem. Although iphone 4 wins due to sharpest focus. It would have been nicer if iphone 5 will be much better with able to handle brightness a lot better, so the white part is not blown out. Thats what I reckon.

I was just going to purchase the flip haha I have an iPhone 4, wow the iPhone is kickin ass...just need a steady cam accessory for the phone cuz its too thin to hold steady.
