Been a fan since 1953. These young guys are an inspiration. Would they sing at my funeral ?

best harmony ever,i dont know any buddy that can copy their harmony. One is so desonnant it is hard to copy that sound & that is what makes it so superb.Nice job guys.

A perfect rendition ... oh, lordy ... 55 years ago. Lake Manitou, Indiana, the Colonial Hotel ... dance floor with its roof open to the sky, and the soar of those voices.
Thanks for posting these. I haven't yet come across any of the Four-and-Five recordings yet. Four Freshmen and Five Trombones, trumpets, guitars ... but I keep looking. They will turn up.

I'm just blown away by these 4 young men & their incredible sound. I grew up, like Brian Wilson, to The Originals & all the incarnations along the years. Bob Flanigan did an mazing job finding these 4 guys--they are wonderful, & the keep The 4 Freshmen sound alive. Wolfsky9

these guys are really funny in concert

I get to see them next week! I absolutely can not wait.

I think the new group has trombones as well... well, a trombone. I believe the bassist plays trombone when not on bass.
Either way, I love this group. I could listen to this music for the rest of time and never grow tired of it.

I love all those tunes, including "How Can I Tell Her". Thanks, Johnny August.

The first LP (10 inch) I ever bought was in the PX at HQ 3rd Infantry division in Korea: 'Voices In Modern, The Four Freshmen', in 1953. I still have it. My FF favorites are 'The Day Isn't Long Enough', 'It Happened Once Before', It's a Blue World', 'The Night We Called It a Day'.

I saw them in long Beach, and they sand to me, Angel Eyes. My heart melted. Love these guys~~*
I've been a Freshmen fan myself.
I heard the original group sing Poinciana
at the Hong Kong Bar in Century City.
They were just great, as well as the new
new Four Freshmen are today.

I agree. I have been fortunate to see them three times: in 1963, 1985 and in 2008. All were great. The '63 and '86 had trombones. The new group doesn't but is still great!
