The adults(dragon fly) after mating lay eggs in ponds or tanks or any aquatic environments in whcih the eggs hatch out into nymphs that live in water and cause about predation to fish fries or prawn fries.It is the enemy of Marble Goby fish fries in outdoor ponds.

I wouldn't put them together if I were you they tend to cannibalize each other, 4 winged ones don't seem to do this anymore there's the time when they stop eating until they hatch as adult dragonflies .
