So great to hear this original. DJ Shadow was absolutely outstanding finding the most obscure, perfect stuff for Endtroducing. The whole puzzle fits.
Dennis Linde is not really what you'd call obscure. He wrote "Burning Love", a big latter-day hit for Elvis Presley, and "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks. His Elektra solo albums are well worth finding. Today is the fourth anniversary of Dennis' death, and the world is a slightly less soulful place because of that.
Man it is so trippy and cool to hear the originals that Shadow sampled from.
