The singer is the legendary Karem Mahmoud (1922-1995). There's a story that Karem first saw a very young Nagwa in tears at one of her first parties. Karem, who was already a star, asked why she was crying and she explained that her musicians hadn't arrived and so she would have to leave. He said to her "Don't leave, I will sing and you will dance".

  • You're right, there is a very special feeling between the two performers that comes to the audience even though this film is so old. I'm glad you have enjoyed this and its brought back lovely memories for you.
