That night in Simcoe, Paul Langlois and Gord Sinclair of the Tragically Hip hosted a very special evening for a small group of friends and fans. Joining them for this campfire jam, The Campfire Liars Club took turns jamming familiar tunes around the fire with the city of Kingston on a not too distant shore in the background.

It was Gord's turn again to pick a tune to play... What a special moment when he introduced this song...and described it as a 'biblical love song'.

This impromptu video's quality is grainy and dark, but the guitars of Paul and Gord are pure and clean. The Hip talent runs deep, these guys are as good as it gets.

CLC are Paul Langlois, Jeff Montgomery, Greg Ball,
and Jim Tidman. Check them out here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Campfire-Liars-Club/135987849806611

"Get Back Again", described as a biblical love song by its creator Gord Sinclair is a mysterious, elusive, unreleased song by the Tragically Hip. Not appearing on any album, this song has only been publically performed a few times. According to http://www.TheHip.com, "Get Back Again" was performed in concert in Halifax on April 6, 1990 and again five years later on February 6, 1995 in their hometown of Kingston. Paul and Gord Downie also performed it on the CBC with Murray McLauchlan and his band in 1992. During a 1996 interview with Hip drummer Johnny Fay, Johnny said he has always loved this song and wanted to put it on a record for a long time. After a few listens, you'll know why too...

Lyrics:
What's the deal with your dad?
He don't even know my name
Didn't know he'd be back
Didn't know he'd be mad
No one stayed to share the blame
I didn't mean to do that
She won't even come around
Every time I look back
Didn't realize that
I was better off than now

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again

Heaven knows you are right (and they will never drag you down)
And they will never drag you down (there ain't time to lose sight)
There ain't time to lose sight
Getting lost in the light
Is more than never being found

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again

I never could go back (and I could never leave my home)
And I could never leave my home (and why'd they change a face like that?)
And why'd they change a face like that?
If I'd never seen ya
I could always dream that
I'd be better off alone

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again
Be all right till we get back again
Be all right till we get back again
