original Rostand bell from a 60's era Mack fire engine. The one that was on this '64 Mack C series was removed and is in service as a ceremonial bell at the Mack's original home, North Haledon (NJ) Fire Department.
I have a flexicuff attached to the clapper and am pulling it with one hand while holding the camera in the other. I need to find out how the cable was originally strung - there is an eyelet screw behind the bell but I can't find any other guides either along the bumper, thru the cab, or up towards either mirror mount
Thanks for your info. A local Fire Dept purchased an auto ringer for it's re-chromed bell. It's just not as loud as this demo. Pulling some type of line seems to work better for that full ringing sound. Thanks again!
Is this bell being rung with a cord from the cab?? Thanks.
