  • @wrongbuzz I feel it would lose its dance characteristic if it played slower than this. Metronome markings are there for guidance only. Interpretation is at the discretion of the performer. I would suspect a slower rendition would indicate lack of technical ability at this grade. Hope this helps

  • Hi ! the ABRSM book says the tempo should be 'quarter note + dot = c. 76' ... isnt it slower than that?
