@RogellParadox He didn't abandon this to do Who's Next. He abandoned it because he couldn't handle it. Who's Next is actually the remains of Lifehouse. (I knew why he abandoned it. It was a rhetorical question.)

@bwc3821 I believe the original idea was to get the audience on stage and give them each an individual part to play. Then Townshend went a bit mad in the head.

@WilloLFC06 Something just occurred to me. Why not make "Lifehouse" a film? That was the original idea, wasn't it? To have an album and movie? They could make it work this way. Have other well known artists do covers of Pete's songs, just like the "Tommy" movie. Very easily could be done.
