This video is dedicated to the memory and legacy of Daniel Pearl. When he lived in Atlanta Danny played and recorded fiddle in Bill Shadle's previous band "Wild West Picture Show". Homecoming was originally written by Bill Shadle of M80 shortly after Danny's murder in Pakistan. It is written to be from the perspective of Mariane Pearl, but it can easily translate to the perspective of anyone who has a loved one in harm's way. This version of Homecoming was recorded in the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007 at Nickel and Dime Studios in Avondale, GA (produced Don McCollister) and at Mr. Small's Studios in Pittsburgh, PA respectively. The vocals and video performance are thanks to the incredibly talented Liz Berlin from Rusted Root. The video is directed by Mark Maloney and produced by Mark Maloney and Darren McFarlan. Bret Lanius was the gaffer/camera assistant/secondary camera operator.

Nice job Liz. This should show people you don't need the "(of Rusted Root)" tag beside you name in the credits. Great message and delivery. A fan since forever.
Peace.
