  • Errr.... Is there any way to make a CMS for HTML5?

  • @BaylorRae I dont think i even have a copy of the file anymore. If you private message me I can send you a link to the version Im working with. Youtube doesnt allow for enough characters copy and paste the code

  • @ScoobyDoobyD00 can you post you file some where because no of you code is working.

and i 99% sure that i have all the code right.

  • @dvicemuse It's not too difficult, the only reason I've refrained from creating a tutorial is because I don't want to show any of my production DB info on YouTube.

  • @dvicemuse No worries, I remember when I first started with PHP. It took me about a full day to create and connect to my database. But after you do it a couple of times it'll get easier, but PHP + MySQL + phpMyAdmin is a daunting task at first.

  • @BaylorRae

I would love to see a tutorial however on building user accounts and profiles!

I know that's probably insanely complicated though :/

  • @BaylorRae thx for the quick response but i ended up fixing it by using the dbconnect codes w3 schools suggested. I think my host (justhost) doesnt like the login credentials on a different page than the connect to database function.

If anybody else has the same problem id be down to post the code. after all it ONLY took four hours to figure out (gag).

I cant wait to not suck at php. Thx for a great tutorial though. Once I changed the connection code everything else works flawlessly.

    thx again

  • @dvicemuse It looks like your trying to connect to a live server/shared hosting account.

The error is saying that you have either, not created a user for your database or your using the wrong password.

If your host uses cPanel, create your database, and then create a user and add him to the database. If you need more help let me know and I'll see if I can make a video.

Also, make sure your host doesn't require you to add something like `cPanelUsername_username` for your MySQL username.

  • Great tut but I follow your code exactly and get this error..??? Some forums say this error is an issue with the new mysql version. Any experience with this?

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/digit449/public_html/modernCMS/_class/cms_class.php on line 16

@rambodish. STFU. The guys trying to help us. If your a hotshot programmer you go make a video with 56k views OR just move out of your parents house.. fag
