Class IV+ on American Whitewater. Watching the countless runs I'd call it a class III+or IV-...but I play on the Green Narrows...so I've seen and run real class V drops. The class rating comes from consequenses of a swim often times.
trent, only class 2-3 paddlers would think bear creek falls is class 5. obviously you have never bee on class V water. Come with me one day and thn you be calling this a class 3. people want to be hardcore so bad but I bet you would not show up to the put in at Ravens Fork or Toxiway with me.
