How to password protect windows folders!

Whether you're a computer whiz or someone who just wants to hide their secret pictures, this is for you.

Go to http://download.cnet.com/Bat-To-Exe-Converter/3000-2069_4-10555897.html to download a .bat to .exe converter to make your batch file an executable.

Note: in the video, i missed 2 'personal's. Just remember to change ALL of them if you change one.

@blazemaster71 You must have "Show hidden files and folders" turned on. Unfortunately, this trick does not completely hide a folder. Read the other comments to see how to hide hidden folders.

After you do all this, can't you just right click on the batch file, and hit EDIT.

Then someone could easily retrieve the password.

@0Alikan0 re-download the batch file or write one yourself. All it does is rename your folder and make it a read-only hidden system file.

i made edits to the code to improve it since your not allowed to post code on ututbe i wont but i bet u guys can figure it out... i set a password that you imput before the Y/N stage so you can make sure only you lock your own folders

your tutorial is awesome but i guess i did everything as u showed, still when i unlock the folder and type in the pw only 1 file appears: Control Panel, which is obviously not the folder i want, and show hidden folders is checked, so can some1 help me pls? i dont want to lose my gay porn :(

@careyalltheway You must have "Show hidden files" checked under the "View" tab in "Folder Properties", located in the "Tools" menu of an explorer window, as "Folder Options".
