Cold Creek into Flathead River

Cold Creek flowing into the Flathead River near Polebridge, Montana. This is about 12 miles down a gravel road. Very few tourists to bother the wildlife. The other side of the river in Glacier National Park. About a half hour before this I shot this video (August 10, 2009) I encountered a mountain lion. He was thankfully on the other side of the river in Glacier National Park. He spotted me first and took off bounding up an embankment and disappeared into the foliage. I wasn't sure it was a lion unit I noticed its distinctive long tail. Very athletic cat. Agile and fast.
