the arcade was best. this version has no ending. it did have the upgrades.

The arcade version looked really good but was incredibly difficult for obvious reasons--this version was way too repetitive, plus you couldn't play as the Red car

My friend and I stayed up all night playing this as kids once. I'd block and he'd win, and that's how we got to level 100 before we decided enough was enough.

hell yeah! I loved this game, I owned at it too, I remember that just for fun I tried to wipe the white guy out so that the slower cars would beat him lol I'm so going to get a rom of this as my cartridge and nes stopped working ages ago.

The controls are a bloody nightmare on the NES, the AI always perfectly steers but goes 1 level slower then you. Also bumping into walls sends you into a wild directions so correcting for hitting them can be hard. Although good times and an epic old game.

i loved this game & was so popular when i used to play it at the amusment arcade,. people used to stand queuing wait to get a shot, and ther was 3 steering wheels on the actual arcade version- classic game!! people even used to have fights over whos turn it was next....lol
