  • like kantavird pointed out, they address this matter on auroce. org / politics.html .

i didn't expect so much filth in auroville

  • omg, this girl is really super!!!!!

btw,i can't find mention of auroville cultural exchange on auroville old (main) site, where is it?

  • Hey, I wish I was in Auroville in Feb. to watch this program! It looks so different!

I stayed in Auroville in 2007 for 7.5 months, and went to watch 2 Bharathanatya programs. Gosh! They were total crap. They couldn't dance! They didn't explain the story, what they show, nothing. It was tedious. Most things in Auroville are total crap, like in the Tamilian villages.

  • yeah...

very rarely a good classical indian dancer performs in auroville.......

  • Not baby powder, moron. That will only _increase_ the sliperiness. What you need to reduct it, is resin.

  • the mother wanted auroville to be famous for its arts.

how it is famous for its politics

  • please post more!!!

  • classical dancers put baby powder on their feet to prevent slipperiness.

  • Dreaming? Like anywhere else in India, the dancers are required to pay all expenses (hall rent, orchestra, mikes, travel, food, lodging). But in Auroville the dancers aren't even alowed to sell tickets. This is why hardly any good dancers go there.

  • there are some bharatanatyam dancers in auroville who give classes and performances there. but the av dancers know they are very bad, so they don't like good outside dancers coming and making the av dancers look bad.
