This video shows both phones side by side running an app update and then starting up the web browser and browsing to the same page (phones were restarted and browsers were cleared of any cache and whatnot beforehand, so a fair comparison IMO). You can see the iPhone 4 is slightly faster. This slightly fasterness extends to the entire experience - apps that started up in 3 seconds now start up in 2, etc. Not as huge of a jump as from the original to the 3GS, but definitely still noticeable and appreciable. Combine that with the vastly superior screen, and this is one kickass phone.
The resolution on this video won't be quite as high to really see how clear and solid the image on screen is on the iPhone 4. For the up close and personal video where you can literally see the lines BETWEEN the pixels on the older iPhone, as well as how comparitively crisp the iPhone 4 is, just check out my previous one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmy-QVFO58U
Why is your video all jumpy?

@Krunkgigolo The high res mode of my webcam does not have a great framerate. I opted for 1600x1200 at 10 or 15 FPS (I forget which) to be able to see the screen resolution a little better.
