Serenity / Nickelback music video. Using clips from the movie "Serenity" based on the Firefly series, set to the song "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback. Not for commercial use.

Title explanation: Miranda is a planet whose tragic past hides the terrible secret about the origins of the Reavers. Note: This video was originally intended to be released in two parts. Instead, both clips have been joined into one, hence the repeated song. I hope you enjoy this video.

  • I like how the Nickleback lyrics say "Fireflies" very early in....ties it to the video in an impressive and heart-wrenching way.

  • @DarkGodCthulhu

Its not irrational at all, actually, there is a very simple explanation.

  • i hope when they do more comics, they do these themes : pre exodus from earth-that-was and the exodus, the founding of the alliance, more on parliment, and especially, the verse after mirandas secret gets out

  • I can see that 9 people suffer from that irrational hatred of Nickelback.

And I think Whedon may have made the finest space battle of the decade (including two Star Treks, two Star Wars...es... plus various other things), which is quite an achievement. Really understated, this film was.

  • I've always wondered...would River have wasted the Alliance soldiers like she had the Reavers?

  • They really made one epic spacebattle in that movie :G

  • @nosorab3 I am REALLY not a huge fan of Nickleback, but I think this particular song captured Firefly's.....wide open range.....wild west outlaw feel. It's kinda epic.Just watch it one more time and see what you think.

  • @wisewarrior7

Because the editing was still very good and I wanted to see where arenostudios would go with the footage.

I didn't know Nickleback made songs longer than 5 minutes. Usually they repeat the same 50-or-so words five or six times and stop for cocaine, but I guess they outdid themselves this time. If there are two things in this universe that don't mix, it's shitty mainstream pseudo-rock/tard pop and the gem that is the Firefly series.

  • @nosorab3 why didn't you just fast forward to see smartass.

  • This vid was entirely too long to devote exclusively to Nickleback, I kept waiting for the earpoison to end and be replaced with...anything. But no, it never did change, just the same shitty song for seven minutes, it was only the good editing and visuals that kep my interest past the 5 minute mark. Good job over all, just pick better music next time. Thumbs up.
