For the trim
Row 1: Crochet half double crochet (hdc) around bottom of sweater, chain 2 turn.
Row 2: hdc front post around hdc on the previous row, next stitch back post hdc around the next hdc from previous row. Alternate hdc front post and back post on previous row till end of row.Chain 2.
Row 3: hdc front post around front post of previous row and back post hdc around back post of previous row, chain 2 turn. Continue in this manner for desired length of trim.
