Talkin -Original by Louise Gloor © 2008-

I've got some problems, that have been bugging me
I try to solve them, but they're too much for me
I turn to you for sapience and guidance too,
But what I get is nothing more than an "I see"
You clearly don't, and when I bring it up, you turn around and shrug
And simply walk away from me

Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... To a wall
Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... Are you listening at all?

I've got some worries, that have been troubling me,
I rack my brain some, thinking positively
But when I run out of things to try, I turn to you, hoping to find
A new idea to help me sort all of this out
But you don't seem to care or think I'm being serious,
Oh that's something I can do without

Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... To a wall
Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... Are you listening at all?

Got one last problem, it's called being with you!
You don't support me, question everything I do
I've had enough of your complaints, of your lack of faith and your constraints
Of you always bringing my spirit down
It took a while but now I've figured it all out
Won't waste more time on this, I gotta move on out

Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... To a wall
Feels like I'm just talk talk talking.... Are you listening at all?

I'm not taking this no more.... Thought you should know
So if you would please just step aside... It's time to go

No more talk talk talking.... To a wall
No more talk talk talking.... Are you listening at all?

THE MAKING OF: It's about having a conversation, getting really frustrated with someone and likening this discussion to talking to a wall. The two lines of the chorus furst appeared in my head and the rest of the song became an exaggeration of what it's like to not be understood.

Musically I realize this one comes from having listened to Justin Nozuka's acoustic version of "Mr Therapy Man" and Gavin Degraw's "I'm in Love with a girl", because I had wanted to do a more bluesy/rock tune, so this is what came out.

  • Dear Louise,

I live in southern Brazil and I'm also a musician. I loved their music and I hope very happy with them. I am very happy to look you sing

beautifully in tune, and with a very nice voice to hear. A voice for the commercial style that you produce.

I believe that our last name is something with musical talent because almost all my family here play an instrument.

I wish every success in the world and you're happy.

    Sorry for my english.

    Here we speak Portuguese.

    Kisses!!

  • I really like this. I'd really like to hear any progression with it. It is very catchy and it's easy to hear cool it will be with more music. I can hear a R&B spin on it as well as the bluesy/rock way you want to go with it.

Really like this. Hope you will post this when you have brought it further :)

  • Wow, thanks for your comment! Happy to see you enjoyed the song :)
