I feel that people are missing the point when they judge Victoria by her weight. The most important thing is that she and the rest of her family overcame grave debilitating physical conditions: asthma (Valya), juvenile diabetes (Sergei), hyperthyroid (Igor) and life-threatening arrythmia (Victoria). WITHOUT DRUGS and NATURALLY. This is HUGE. If Victoria ever gets thin again that will be huge too and another great success -- but she is already successful in my book.

Victoria is 55 years old,or pretty near that age. Woman natural bodies goes through a lot of change. It takes time to adjust to an older age the body stores up different hormones for old age. so all you that think she is not right maybe your thinking is not natural

Uh, Arrythmia ( of the HEART) can be treated with certain medications, or a pacemaker or cardioversion with ablation.. Now, Greens would not CURE an arrythmia, unless you have a pottasium or sodium defecit or calcium.. Diabtetes, type 2, is weight related.. Type One is an ABSOLUTE deficit of insulin, the Islets of Langerhanns in the pancreas will not secrete Insulin. NOT cureable!!

@Deradune maybe she eats too much avocados, well , not "maybe" for sure, she consume too much fat and she dosen't appear to be an active person eaither. well, we all got some things that we can improve...

@vjoerg I will gladly answer that one. Your answer = microbes.
a cow's energy requirements come from the volatile fatty acids that are produced when bacteria break down the cellulose of the plant matter. This is around 70% of it's diet, the rest of its diet comes from the microbe bodies themselves, providing all the amino acids that a cow needs. the cow survives on an atkins type ketogenic diet. I know too much for my own good. puh POW!
A cow's last stomach is just like ours. kamadev888 = fail.

@vjoerg If she's a 'volume eater' of greens, as this thread supposed, then it's extremely hard to gain weight, especially fat. If she's a volume eater of nuts and fruits (especially if she eats nuts in the same meal as fruits), then it's incredibly EASY to gain fat (in fact it's almost impossible not to do so.)
-
@Kamadev888 Has Victoria made the claim that she is only consuming 800 calories a day? She's mentioned in the past that she is a volume eater. I can easily see how someone could gain weight if they consumed a volume of nuts, bananas, avocados, greens, etc.

@vjoerg Cows are herbivores, with specially created digestive systems made to transform grass into fat and muscle. They have SEVEN stomachs to do this. They eat all day. Human beings, on the other hand, need lots of CALORIES, which are only present in small amounts per large amounts of greens. We also need amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and some fats and proteins. If you eat 800 calories of greens a day and no salt, you cannot get fat, unless you are bloated.
-
@Kamadev888 Cows can get fat eating green grass alone. Explain that!
-
@Deradune No, people are right on target when they judge Victoria by her weight. You can't eat mainly greens, which have VERY few calories, for years, and still be fat. In fact, you will be undernourished calorically. Apparently she and her whole family admitted to eating some cooked food regularly. Everyone I know, and who I've seen on the internet, who follows a 100% raw food diet properly, is VERY SLIM. See Frelea, who eats 5 kilos of oranges and 30 bananas a day, and tell me if she's fat.
-
As to all the questions about why she is fat, apparently, Victoria Boutenko and most of her raw family including Valya and Sergei have admitted to eating cooked food on a regular basis (as of about 2009). Eating greens is not enough, as they do not have enough calories. We are not monkeys. Eating one banana and some greens is NOT enough calorically for one meal. This is why many raw food gurus 'cheat' and have started eating some cooked food again.
Question... is there a concern when making green drinks that you might be diluting the enzymes by adding water. I've tried green drinks and felt constipated, which is the opposite of what I expected. Any advice is appreciated.

What was your recipe? Constipation can result from a number of things that may directly or indirectly to your green drink. I also may be a part of cleansing. Add some ingredients to you drink that stimulates digestion... cayenne, ginger, cinnamon as well as a bit of ground flax seed or health raw cold pressed oils.
