@swally2005 She would rather be singing music like this, but her label put the brakes on that a long time ago. She'll be better off when her contract is up in a few years and she can either shop for a new label or release her music independently. Lots of mainstream artists are going that route these days.

Do I hear a Black Keys, Kelly Clarkson collaboration? Hahaha I doubt the Black Keys would ever be down for that.

it's such a shame she didn't get into blues and soul influenced music. she definitely has the voice and the chops for those styles of music. she's really wasting her talent singing mediocre pop songs, when she could be a performing music like this and blowing people's minds with her power and delivery. i still have goosebumps from this.

I heard the Black Keys version and Kelly commends them for their artistry. She always recommends other artists to her fans. How many artists do this? So when people say she should leave this particular song to the original artists, I think their ears might have been plugged. I also think that the BK would compliment her for doing such a great job on their song.
