@Huttate1 Stop commenting on my profile and post here where everyone can see you. You are quite simply wrong. A quick Google has shown up translations of various qu'ran versions by respected authors. Instead of simply accepting what you have been told, why not look at the evidence for yourself.

@cheems9 I am sorry but you are wrong. I have only studied the Hafs, Qalun and Warsh version but am very aware that there are several other version. They are not identical and any claim that they are is erroneous.

@Huttate1 :-) Ha. There is only one version. Here is another challenge. Pick a copy of Quran from any place on this earth, and i challenge you that every copy of the Quran is exactly the same. And i mean literally, word by word. I dare you! And you are most welcome to inspect the Quran, It is available freely on the internet with english translations. I can give you links if u want to...

@cheems9 Your evidence is a book, that has been edited. If islam was so solid and such a universal religion it would welcome everyone to Mecca and welcome independent scholarly inspection of its core documentation.

The so-called satanic verses are a prime example of the fallacy of your statemennt of the perfection of the qu'ran.

BTW Which version of the perfect qu'ran do you subscribe to?

@Huttate1 And i have evidence that Muhammad was a prophet of Allah and Quran is a divine book revealed on him. Muhammad did not know how to read or write! Do you know that? Why dont you bring your evidence and i bring mine and we see then?

@cheems9 There is enough evidence to state that mohammed was delusional and that all of his writings were derivitive, based largely on the influence of Greek philosophy and his apocalyptic Christian relative.

I see no danger in not following blind superstition. The crusades, inquisition, witch burnings, Israel and suicide bombers is more than enough evidence that the danger lies in defense of baseless belief.

@Huttate1 Well, i was once in school. Then i went to college. And now i m in a university. We muslims believe that all divine religions had come with the same message (to be muslim you have to belief in Jesus and Moses and Bible etc) but all of them had been corrupted by work of human hand. There is enough proof that only Islamic texts are only religious texts in their orignal form. All are like a junction where all paths lead to one reality. The only dangerous path is yours i.e with no belief.

@cheems9 Thanks but I study comparative mythology and so am reaonably versed in the Islamic mythology. It always amuses me that people abused from birth in to believingsuperstitious nonsense like to suggest that those of us that have cleansed ourself of that conditioning are the deluded ones. Be honest with yourself for a momen and accept that had you been born in to a different culture then you might well now be defending another faith than that which is yours by accident of birth.
