Once you get good at a pose, you can start to play with it. Be creative and find new ways to inhabit your happy self! Also, be careful and take it slow. Please don't try these variations until you are completely comfortable sitting in full lotus. Remember, yoga is not about being a contortionist. Yoga is about being at one with yourself, feeling comfortable in your body and finding peace. You can find comfort and peace any time, no matter how far you can stretch.

Sorry about the poor audio quality. The wind was pretty brisk. I will re-record it soon on a calmer day.

  • OMG!

    02:05....someone stole her legs!

  • I'd say that the feet should go higher up. It doesn't look as good or symetrical but it's much more stable and gices the back a lot of support that it otherwise won't get. The soles of the feet should be pointing more towards what's behind you than up, the ankles should be fairly straight.

  • Finally someone explained why that pose, called gupta padmasana by some, feels so damn great. I saw it, wanted to try it and noticed how pleasant it was.

  • Thank you so much for this beautiful demonstration.

It is not so easy, and it cost a lot of time for many people.

    You give very good instructions.

  • you really charming!

  • really cool, have a look to m video, like to play with some pose too :)

  • Nice variant! Hmm, my feet don't turn purple but they fall asleep after 10+ minutes. I guess they would eventually.
