  • Going to Iraq does NOT make you an expert on how to manage civil disobedience. There is this common misconception in American that makes people think that their 1st amendment rights lets them break every law they feel like. Trespassing on private property and breaking city ordinances is not covered by freedom of speech. I am 110% for these guys message against greed but people need to lay off the Police. Would you rather have soft police and London style riots?? THINK.....

  • @hunkgod This is NOT a riot situation. These people are peaceful protesters. Odd that the Tea Party never faced opposition of any kind, even when they came to rallies carrying weapons. By the way, I've seen a few news articles talking about outside agitators. The Occupy Wall Street movement is a non-violent group.

  • What the fuck is up with these captions? lol

  • @ImReallyStiff Transcripts aren't out yet, so I can't fix them until later today. Those are the YouTube generated captions. :) I'll fix them later when the full transcript is released.

  • Marine- Button up your jacket and quit wearing it like a fashion item. This display of the military uniform is offensive to those of us who wear it with pride and sacredness.

  • I will NEVER forget Srg. Shamar Thomas. He brings SANITY and LOVE into this world. Pure Inspiration.

  • @crowley188

That doesnt grant the right to rescind the constitution. As you said, the sidewalk is the cities, But that makes it public property. The city works for us, not the other way around. Research the constitution of the state, the US and read the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers to get some perspective.

  • @hunkgod You missed something. It wasn't implied that serving in Iraq makes anybody an expert on civil disobedience. The ACTUAL misconception (that many "white shirts" are trying to plant in America's head) is that non-violent people don't have the right 2 demonstrate. When it violates law - FINE. But 2 abuse the authority that has been granted them, only because demonstrations will make them work a bit harder for their paychecks should NOT be tolerated. It's about policing fairly & efficiently.

  • @hunkgod The sidewalk, by virtue of city ordinance, is the city's.....

  • @hunkgod cops in the USA are quite literally used and abused as tools, told to never think for themselves. Unfortunately to maintain, and not destroy, a society you must think for yourself and act within reason. It's a wonder people who do nothing run from the police. They lie, abuse the constitution, coeerece, entrap, drive like careless maniacs, and attack anyone who threatens them in any way. Do I think we'd be better without any? Of course not. Is that an excuse for police to not improve? No

  • @hunkgod ing anything. Police officers in Maybury that think they're in IRAQ because they're constantly told their at war and taught to react with zero-tolerance towards citizenry. If you aren't willing to truly risk your life to HELP people instead of arrest people for next to nothing and live life by a "i'll pull you over but never use my blinker" mentality, you should not be a cop. I respect the hell out of any decent cop. Too bad 80% are tyrannical, pathetic bastards who got picked on in HS.

  • @hunkgod With the amount of ex-military that we hire with no police training, I agree with you. I think a police officer who doesn't have the balls to not pull his gun until a gun is pulled on him, shouldn't be a cop. Someone who wants to be Rambo instead of Andy Griffith needs to fuck off and join the military. These riots always start with an asshole cop pushing a protestor, another protestor defends him, and then 20 other cops have to defend the dickhead who started it all. That's not prevent

  • @hunkgod The idea that police brutality can somehow prevent London style riots is silly and not supported by historical evidence. It's well known that half the time, riots develop because of attacks that are judged as unwarranted. None of the people in #OWS are itching to start throwing rocks around or burning cars, and only refraining because once in a while a police officer beats up and arrests one of them for dubious reasons.

    Preemptive riot control doesn't work.
