Bejeweled 2 Classic 1 Billion (1,000,000,000) score

I srarted this game in April of 2009. (scroll down for hints) I have played this game for 15 months (over 1000 hours). My technique is forget about the score. Always play to have another move. In other words "play defensively". The score dosen't matter if you hear "No More Moves".
Study the board and learn to see all the moves (Hint.. Try to learn to look at the colors one at a time. It may be hard at first but it gets easy fast).
Play from the top first unless you are trying to shape the board.
NEVER TAKE THE "HINT". If you check you will see the hint is always the highest move on the board, not the best or safest move.
Move you hypercubes to the bottom of the board and try to keep the powercubes away from the hypercubes.
When you blow up powercubes, the explosion is not random. It is the 8 cubes that suround the power cube and any other cubes used in the match. If you blow up a powercube that is right next to a hyper cube you have to allow for the 8 cubes around the hypercube also.
Be patient, it takes long time to get a high score.
IF THE BOARD IS COLD AND MOVES ARE NOT FALLING FOR YOU, STOP PLAYING!!!!! Close the program down and do something else. After a couple of hours or even a day or so I guarentee the board will be better.

Congrats on hitting a billion! Just wondering what your currently at...have you maxed it out yet? That's my goal - going for the 2.147 billion ... I'm sittin' right at 200 mil on my current game so I still have a ways to go.

@samneo2727 Hah, that's not possible. You can only make matches that score a number that ends with 0 or 5, so you can't score any number that ends with 7, unless you've hit the maximum score.

So: Or you mispelled your score, and wrote "2,147,473,647" instead of "2,147,483,647", or you are just lying. ;)

This is NOT endless game? In other words, you could get a "no more moves"? If so, amazing! Do the levels keep getting harder or stay the same? Do you have advice, when given 50-50 choice, of vertical or horizontal move? Do you mostly avoid making the 4-across cubes that blow up? I'm just a beginner, compared to you - lvl 61.

Wow, it's really a marathon... I start the Classic game in Bejeweled 3 since Christmas, and I'm now 144 million. It seems easier than in Bejeweled 2 but however it's really a marathon... Good luck to you too!
