I live in Appalachia, and it is nothing like this in real life. Although the music like in this video really is popular there

@chisaoboy
This is a shortened version, it's missing the part where Bobby (the fat guy) says to Ed (the guy with the pipe) "talk about genetic deficiencies, isn't it pitiful?" or something to that effect. The hick asks them "who's picking the banjo here?" to point out that the kid is a talented banjo player regardless.

Does anyone know why the hick guy comes up and asks, "Who's pickin' the banjo here?" where he can simply look and see who's doing it? And, why don't the 2 guys answer him? And why does that hick guy look annoyed about the whole thing?

@johnnybev99 haha you're right, it turned out that kid could play the banjo but not well enough, so they shot it with someone elses arms coming around his body which i thought was hysterical lmao no special effects magic there !!!

Thanks for the vid, always great to hear this.
@ThePaleBunnyPres, interestingly the actor with the banjo is named Billy Redden, but the guy sitting behind him - whose arms are actually playing the banjo - is the famous musician Eric Weissberg. Who knows, it might come up on a pub quiz...
