I'm Still Here hits theaters on September 10th, 2010.

Cast: Joaquin Phoenix

The directorial debut of Oscar-nominated actor Casey Affleck, "I'm Still Here" is a striking portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of internationally acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix. With remarkable access, "I'm Still Here" follows the Oscar-nominee as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and sets off to reinvent himself as a hip hop musician. Sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads. Defying expectations, it deftly explores notions of courage and creative reinvention, as well as the ramifications of a life spent in the public eye.

Well, I think it was Casey Affleck's film. Joaquin is just a great actor. But he definitely agrees with Casey, judging by his Oscar behaviour and his general demeanor towards "celebrity life" and all that shit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Casey initially planted the idea in Joaquin's head. Not sure, though, I'm just going with the idea that Casey was the director, so it was his idea.

Its sad so many of you totaly miss the point of this, this right here is a master piece. To what i understand of this he was trying to show people how serious the Media and how serious normal people take Celebrities how obessed we are with this fame thing and how self destructive it can be for the people who have it. This was amazing one of the best actors of our generation.

The drop of water evaporation concept was a pretty cool metaphor though, lol.

This movie is really just social commentary, a lot like the work Kaufman used to do. The point of whether it's real or not is mute, let alone whether it's a comedy, documentary, etc. And that quote in the trailer? Just bad ass.

Really stupid, awful movie... and the worst attempt I've seen at comedy since "The Situation" or "Steve-O" decided to go to stand-up.
