I was playing around on YouTube and found this video by accident. Oh my God who is this guy? What a beautiful voice! He makes me tingle all the way down to my toes! I am a fan already and don't even know who he is. I remember years ago, a band called the Mavericks, but he dosen't look like any of the band members. That voice...I bet he could do a great version of my favorite song "Sway".

Hi, that is Raul Malo and he was indeed the lead singer for The Mavericks.This was from a performance at Albert Hall back in 1998. He does have the most beautiful voice... Just remember, if the voice makes you tingle...it must be Raul...

@MrJohann64 Because the music industry is a joke thats why.They got hardly any radio they really had no genre thank god I was on to them from the beginning I saw them live 3 times the best being a show in 97 or 98 at the State fair of Texas.How Raul is not celebrated as one of the great vocalists of the last 20 years is beyond me the man could send Celene Dion packing I wish the Mavericks would reunite for another album and tour

I finally got to see him and his band perform on Thursday!!! My first ever Raul Malo show! He was at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn, Il about 4 blocks from my house. OMG what a show. What a man. He so graciously did a meet and greet and took as much time with each fan as they wanted with him. His presence on stage was nothing short of awesome! It was a very high energy show and I don't understand how he can perform like that night after night without collapsing. Go see him if you can.

Glad you and your family had a great time at the show. Just couldn't make it, but I am better today and actually, so is my ankle. Hopefully I will make his show next time he's playing in the area. If not, I can take a ride up to Milwaukee if that's a stop on his tour again. I'm always up for a road trip!

Hi, Sig Gal. The show was fantastic! He did a great mix of his new CD, previous solo material, as well as some Maverick's classics. It was a great crowd with lots of dancing going on. I treated my Sister and Brother In Law to tickets and we had an absolute blast! We didn't sit for one minute during the show. If you don't have it yet, get his new CD, you will love it. Hello again, Sig. Yes, you are correct! He will be at Martyr's on the 29th. I am in Northwest Indiana myself, not too far from you. Sorry about your ankle : ( That stinks! After the show at Joe's, Raul came out afterwards to talk with people, take photos with them, and sign autographs for well over an hour. He was so cool! I just ordered his new CD today from Amazon. His new song "Lucky One" is fantastic. The album sounds great too. Get well soon, I will pray to the ankle Gods for you! : )
