Greatest Englishman that ever lived. Gracious, warm, witty and utterly charismatic. Rarely do we get actors of his presence any longer.

What a true english gent...sorely missed

Wonderful Peter. So missed. What a gent and great actor. Our loss. R.I.P x

Its a shame theres no English gents like this anymore, let alone actors

A great actor.. but more importantly .. a good and great man..

Wogan was so annoying here, feeling the need to blabber on instead of letting us hear Peter Cushing. But then, it was light entertainment after all.
-
Does anyone remeber Peter Cushing appearing as a voice over on a pop song round about 1992-3??

Oh dear. I'm so sorry, Thespilian. I still can't believe I actually 'sent' that bizarre comment. Never drink claret and use the Tube simultaneously. (It must be one or the other ;)
I stand by that sentiment, though. Mr Cushing is one of our greatest treasures and is sadly undercelebrated (for the moment!).
Wogan on the other hand...[fill in the bleep]

So obvilous that Peter is really enjoying himself here.

Yes well, Cushing is a great, great man.
But I am still trying to work out why I actually, really, actually wrote what really was a purely internal thought process down in a YouTube comment beneath your video. It's mystifying. I actually bothered to type out what I was thinking about something that, truthfully, only really marginally interests me - and without being completely aware I was doing it.
I need a holiday.
If Wogan had never existed, at least in this reality's incarnation, things generally would have been so much better in the 1980s, when I was growing up.There is certainly some parallel universe where no doubt this is the case. I wish I could go to that plac, where the oily smartarse Oirish nobody is but a semi-legitimate chipshop owner in Limerick.
Cushing, by contrast, is a legend. So I think I'll stay in case he's a chipshop owner in Kent in that other world, and not a national treasure.

Wise decision. ;)

I have to say, I share Cushing and Lee's view on modern gore flicks. I find the style unpleasant and not particularly enchanting by way of atmosphere and so forth.
