Punks dressed the way they did in order to disturb and outrage the general public. Back then, punk fashion was to show that they were anti-materialistic. Now, when someone sees someone with a freakin' mohawk, they just assume that that person is a punk because to them, punk is just a look.. Punk's more than that. It's a lifestyle. It's doing what you want, whenever you want and not giving a fuck what anyone thinks. It's about the music and how we all unite through it.

The punk culture?!?! Punk shouldn't have turned into a culture. It was taken over by materialism, population, and idolism. The idea and feeling still lives in the individual, but has nothing to do with what "punk" mean today. Studded belts, leopard print, and 60 dollar stretch jeans mean shit.
