UMMM news flash...this is not what most dog breeders in Japan are like. This is an example of one bad breeder being exposed by a local person. Good for the guy with the camera, but don't think that this is what dog breeding is about in Japan.

@kenkencat Actually, I have lived in Japan for a long time, and work with many vets and breeders. I have never seen anything like this in real life, and I have been all over Japan to many different breeders. This is part of my job.

I'm going to be sick. Asswholes around the world...DAMN. No offense...I guess America and most part of britain is just nicer than most places...there is a lot more places but I dont feel like naming. Not saying japan is a bad place either..People just need some laws:)

While laws are helpful, more important is leadership from the veterinary community, welfare groups speaking with one voice, and an inquisitive media.

Almost been 2 years now, My comment wasn't logical at all, I realize what pet shops around the world do, sadly it's kind've a disgrace but I mean in my opinion there are more animals/pets then humans and not every human wants a pet...so sadly these animals are the victim of bad things that the pet shops do.

@MaNiMaBaLLa You can't say that a country is better than another with animals! There are stupid people all around the world. Don't know if THIS is typical to Japan, but believe me, it's possible to find that kind of place in the USA or the UK too. For example, we have "pets shop" ! And believe me, the way we breed animals before they go into a pet shop is AWFUL! Quite similar to the video, unfortunately.
