Jason has to realize that Sonny has no loyalty to him. He's shown that time and again. If he shoots his son, he'll have Jason killed or do it himself. Either way he's dead.

@lilyfire90210 Thank you. Every other comment is someone blaming Dante. Clearly no one's watched this show from the moment Carly set foot in Port Charles. She set the ball in motion, Jason helped it along, and Sonny painted a bullseye on it. Why is it that Jason and Carly can blame themeselves when they talk to each other but then turn around and blame Dante and Lulu? They can't have it both ways. Dante didn't out Michael in the mob lifestyle. AJ could have gotten help and been a good dad

If Franco really is dead... which unless he paid off the cops to lie and SOMEHOW faked it... I'm bummed the storyline ended this way... I dunno about the rest of you but it sounded to me like a cop out.

FINALLY, Liz said it! Franco has been planning this at length he could get that monitor off the kids ankle and abscond with the newborn! He has the cops running in circles anyway! it's his show!
