The Blue Sea and the White Horse (Full Version) + LYRICS

'Laoi Oisín ar Thír na n-Óg' ['The lay of Oisín in the Land of Youth'] was published in 1896 and written by Miceál Coimín. It is a poem, written in an older version of the Irish language, about Oisín and Niamh, a fianna warrior and fairy princess from Irish Mythology.

The music, The Blue Sea/The White Horse, was composed by Patrick Doyle for the film Into The West (1992) and was sung by his sister Margaret Doyle.

I love this movie SOOOOOO much.

My dad had trouble ordering the soundtrack for this movie online. The first guy he ordered it from gave him a CD from a TV show called "Into The West." So he tried again. The next guy gave him the exact same CD! The last guy PROMISED that this was the soundtrack from the Irish movie, "Into the west." And, thankfully, it was. It sounded so pretty on my Dad's speaker system. So he burned s CD with all his favorite Irish songs, and he's gonna put some on my iPod! Y
