Date: October 3rd, 2009.
Time: 4:30pm.
Location: Barrie, Ontario, CANADA

What happened:
A weak trough of Low Pressure came through Barrie, bringing sunny and cloudy periods all day, when all of a sudden, dark clouds came moving over top of our area, bringing very strong winds (gusts of 90km/h) and a heavy downpour that lasted about 10 minutes (off camera).

It is normal to get storms in Southern Ontario year-round. There was a Severe T-storm watch in effect for Barrie, Orillia, and Midland at the time this video was filmed.

  • Looks like the weather I see here in Oklahoma. Those clouds are quite common here where I live. Mainly see them in the spring and early summer.

  • this was a thunderstorm within a line of storms stretching about 400km that swept across Southern Ontario in the summer....

it dropped 25 tornadoes! Almost 1 for every letter of the alphabet LMFAO!

we broke a record this year in Ontario for most tornadoes ever in 1 season
