I loved Natalia. I liked Joie. I hated Mary Ann with a passion. She is just irritating in every way possible. In fact I sort of find the South American group of Carpathians to be sort of sleazy. I hope they skip them finally, and get to Skylers story. I won't read about Zacharias, or whatever. he is going to be slimy, I can tell.

I loved MaryAnn. I like the Carpathians that are still living in the mountains. Not really as into the De Le Cruz's but they are hot none the less.

Yes Mary-Anne could be irritating at times but none the less I love the De la Cruz's. I liked her and Manny's story and I cannot wait for Zack's story as well as sky's.

@TruthFan I don't know. She seems like the new breed of Mary Sues. They play hard to get through the entire novel. I just can't respect a woman who has to push a guy away, then pull him back in, then push him away. Thats so high school, no grown woman would ever do that. Normal people don't have silly ideas like "I don't want to be with this guy because Ill lose myself" What the heck do things like that even mean? No real people ever think like that.

What is a Mary Sue? She was one of the strongest female characters. Adult relationships can be complicated not all are the same. Mary Ann was celibate before she met Monolito so I can understand her hesitancy. Anywho she was fighting her attraction to him and didn't want to be dominated by him. To an independent person like her she didn't want to lose her freedom.
