Heh, mario and daisy, anyway, I think daisy was going to fill the space of mario's damsel of distress after some random anime movie was made earlier, (it had a messed up ending)
But since the anime movie was exclusive to japan, people just stuck with peach as marios damsel in distress.
Anyway, I really like mario/daisy couple, even though the super mario land game is extremely old, I wish nintendo would make another game of mario and daisy.

You bet, if anything, nintendo needs to make diasy an actual character, with a castle and such, just prove she is more than some addon char. in the nintendo games.
Anyway, I do hope mario is the main char. in such a game. (Luigi, technically only came into existince due to being two marios in old game Donkey kong 2 intro)
