  • never said pubbing is bad if they have your best interest in mind. of course most beginning come from fan art . however to transition from fan to creator often calls you to cut those apron string and get your own bag. the sooner the better. this is where often your style has room to grow.

  • I think you act like publishing is bad. Nothings wrong with seeking out a publisher or not, but if your tried a manga just make it however you want if you copy naruto or bleach whatever.... you improve yourself. You know most artist start coping pinup stuff and doing fan art, but thats how they get bettter. and they finnaly do something original later.also alot of manga is based of other manga. I do agree with people who want to publish when their art isnt good enough that annoys me

  • I hear you, man. Been working hard for six years under the radar. All I got is the story and the art style. I'll be somewhere eventually, though.

  • Wow I totally agree with all you said right there.

  • I sincerely agree. For a while, my story seemed like it would end up being a regular shonene anime, but as I opened my mind it suddenly transformed into a story with politics clashing with human nature. I don't think my story is good enough yet, but I'm gonna try harder. I do think that too many young artists are being exposed to an artstyle that's appealing to the eye, but the story telling has become stagnant, which kinda says alot from me, because I love anime and manga.

  • lets hope u are right :D

  • I believe what your sayin terrthom I've been drawing anime for 15 years now, the past 5 years more seriously. I took art classes in college. And I'm just now at to where I personally want to be in order to create a manga. I'm still not doing it yet though. I got to figure out what messages and feeling I want to send out into the world through my stories. Drawing manga takes time and patience. It won't happen over night!

  • Don't be too quick to make assumption day. You haven't seen what I'm capable of, though of course I am influenced by what's "good" out there, I know I'll have a manga bigger and better than Naruto and the other good mangas. Although there's no way for me to show you yet. I'll let it be known when my time comes hopefully next year when I move to Japan!
