I'm so sad that I was only 2 when I saw my only game at Tiger Stadium. My dad told me when I asked him what happened at the game that the Tigers won so that's cool.

I have a glass full of dirt from home plate from the last "kids run the bases day" the tiger stadium had. I miss the historic feel everywhere you went in this stadium.

I was at a game here in 1992 while traveling through and they played the White Sox and I remember Robin Ventura hitting a HR to deep center field, which was a section over from where I was sitting. A fan next to me was telling me how rare it was for a HR to be hit to center field at Tiger Stadium.

I have two quiestions. On in the video I have of the last game I notice the sign in the background kept changing. Did they have a changing sign there. I know they didnt have it when I was last there in 1975. (2). According they the internet they finished the demelotion of tiger stadium in 1999. But part of it was still standing when I was last up there in 2010. What ever happened to the old place?

You really did a nice job of capturing the feel of this ballpark. Interesting note; when the Minnesota Twins played their last game at Metropolitan Stadium in 1981, they also played the Royals.

This along with Yankee Stadium are 2 places I deeply regret not getting to go see a baseball game at...

i was at either this game or the second to last game here. It was also my first
this stadium was a proper representation of the city, the oldest ballpark in the US, and it felt like baseball when you went there. and what did they do? they built another cookie cutter stadium that looks like every other new ballpark in the country, and they destroyed all of the wonderful and unique history that the stadium created over a span of 90 years. at least build a new stadium replica, like the yankees did. i don't care how clean comerica is, it will never compare. anyone feelin this?

Thats exactly how I remember it as a kid. The concourses felt like you were in a cave, but walking out of the tunnel, it felt like the stadium just opened up in front of you, with all the green grass and blue seats. I got that every time I went to Tiger Stadium. Never have at Comerica Park.
