My father's always been a huge Quincy Jones fan. I used to dance to this song when he'd play it on his stereo while my mother was at work.

Reeaaalllly rather not get that one started again. My luck is they are tracking me or something.
I got mad and childishly fought back on their level. I shouldn't have, but whenever I tried to be positive they would resort to a "old timers vs young wippersnappers" routine that didn't jibe. I am not as young as they assumed.

@johnyvico It does actually have a bit to do with Spanish. The "corrida" from the title (Korida in Romaji) is the Spanish word for bullfight.
It looks like your comment was just copy/pasted from two sources directly: a tv.com page for an episode of Gossip Girl (?) and the search.com reference page for Ai no Corrida--with the notable omission of which French writers actually influenced Oshima. As hard as it is to look cool on a comment thread, you'll do better to avoid copy/pasting.

Ai No Corrida is taken from the japanese moive In the Realm of the Senses It is a fictional and sexually explicit treatment of a true story which occurred in 1930s Japan. nothing to do with spanish at all . The Japanese title Ai no Corrida reflects the intellectual sources which affected Oshima at the time -- specially the French writers
