I owned an 82' 750 Spectre, same color. A friend bought it for $3200 I believe, and then lost his license for a brief period. I bought the bike from him 6 months after he bought it for $1850. Shaft drive is dead on responsive. Very quiet til u hammer it then it screams like a banshee!

I have one just like it, doing the same thing. It is broken magnets in the stator! the glue that holds the magnets in place fails and the magnets get broken. Anybody know where to find a new stator? The Kawasaki place wants 400 for one?

They are great bikes, I just bought one with the wind jammer and hard bags and a cd player. I enjoy it alot, but the clutch seems to be kinda goosy in first through second. Not sure why.

ALRIGHT you are correct, shaftdrive bikes are bigger, better, faster, stronger, neater, lighter, newer,and very inexpensive to fix and, and whole lot more fun, lol oh ya I do not like HARLEYS< my email is empty so comeon bring on the haters.

and only a harley fan would say shaft drives are not cool...and that's because harley is too silly to not admit shaft drive is better...oh well, no accounting for intelligence!
