So how is P4 in comparison to P3? Is it better, worse, or about the same? I'm considering buying it, but I'm not sure...

P4 is pretty much P3 better in a domains. The only things P3 had better are music, S-links and costume changing in dungeons (inexistent). Assume all the rest is better.

What about the fact that P3 has dorms, a big high school, and a bunch of cool city stuff? I like big anime-ish cities and stuff like that. I like the setting. Is P4 better?

P4 is pretty much P3 made better in every single way. The only thing that's weaker are the S-links.

@Yakamashimaru I don't know why you were worried about the setting in P4. Setting is what persona thrives on.

I love the anime, and i love video games yet i've only found out about this game recently. BOY HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT.

I think they're good in different ways. I appreciated P3's darker atmosphere and I found the story much more poignant and emotionally compelling than P4's. But P4's battling system felt more refined, the graphics were in my opinion considerably improved and the humour was fantastic throughout. If pushed I'd still tip my hat to P3 as the winner but it's really not fair to choose between the two.

@LordAnnubis the costume changing was only aded in the re-realease (FES) and in my opinion the S-links were more interesting in P4, hey, Devil Nurse vs just hearing Tanaka talk about being a jerk?

@LordAnnubis IMO P3's story pwns P4's but P4's gameplay is much more refined than P3.But once P3poratable comes out it's gonna rock.
