This is our actual test of ideapaint idea paint. The product cost us $140, plus 160 grit sandpaper and primer. We also decided to experiment with a section, using Rust Oleum Magnet Paint Primer. This product was pitch black and rough from the magnetic particles. It took several layers of primer plus a very "gentle" sanding. So we have ideapaint with a magnetic section - very cool. The magnetic paint was another $30.
There are 8 steps and you "must" follow them exactly. I thought the roller brush could have been a little higher quality. Also, and this is very important, once you mix "this" and "that" it will dry in 1 hour - so get going.
The directions also say it will take 7 days to cure. I think it was ready to use in 2 days, but went played along.
Also, it may sound like a gratuitous ad, but use Expo markers. Washable markers may wash out of clothes but will "ghost" on your ideapaint.
We having been using the product for a week and so far so good.
