    There is a huge misconception, largely fueled by clever marketing, that animal protein is the only true/good source of iron, calcium, vitamins, minerals and proteins.

    This is false. Whole vegan foods in their ripe and unadultered state offer us almost everything we need, including calcium and protein.

    A good place to start would be watching Kevin Giannis youtube videos

  • Why did I get a minus sign ?? I believe i have a valid question, especially if I am learning, and I just want to improve. anyways any suggestions on getting more preteins and calcium besides orange juice. i understand what the author of the video is saying I just don't know how to get there. Any suggestions anyone?

    Would it be acceptable to use BAKING SODA and put in into 1 cup of water and drink it?

    I have heard that Baking Soda helps make water more Alkaline.

  • how it was calculated foods are acid forming ? How proteins form acid ? And what acid ? How acid causes inflammation ?

  • Can someone tell me why I get gas EVERYTIME I eat fresh leafy greens?? And how I can stop it?? I'm trying to eat better but I try not to eat them when I'm at work bc it's embarrassing. I spend 90% of my day at work and school. So that is limiting my green intake. Any suggestions? I have been told that my body has to get use to it but it should be by now.

  • I have your book "False-fat diet" which I have in front of me. I'm identifying one by one the food that makes me fat (like bread). I've lost 8 pounds of water in the last five days. I attribute this success to my eating food to which I'm not sensitive (nuts, fish, veggies like green beans). I"ve got the 2001 edition of the book and I see that there is the 2008 edition. How much more info is there in the 2008 edition?

  • There is plenty of protein and calcium in dark leafy green vegetables. The protein myth has been perpetuated by the dairy and meat industry to sell more of their product, that being dead animals.

    You can get protein from broccoli, greens, spirulina, beans...there's protein in everything natural. Ask yourself how cows, gorillas, elephants, giraffes get their protein and calcium?

  • Calcium and protein fortified Oj in human in human hystory????? hahahaha probably not. It is true , througout our history we've survived eating all natural products and it sounds logical. It's just living in a fast paced society we want fast and sometimes we need fast, and we forget to put everything in perspective and then put that perspective into practice especially when all our senses are bombarded with all kinds of clever marketing. Thank- you for your comments, I'll do some research.
