  • He still gives the same wink with his right eye here as he did on those films from the '50s when he was the "Hillbilly Heartthrob."

  • This is the man who was my favorite, and still is. One of the best in the business. Sad that he's not mentioned much anymore. Great artist and talent. He'll be missed.

  • Years ago, WWLS out of New Orleans, La . would play' " IT' s 4 in the mornin" by Faron. He had a gift. He was a good looking, polished country singer. " Hello Walls" You know I can keep going but I won' t. RIP Faron. You are not forgotten.

  • faron was really crapped on by radio stations. if only they had the sense to realize it today i'm sure they never will..

  • You no, if you stop and listen to the way he pharses the word's to a song, and his timeing, i don't think anybody can replace him.

  • Thanks for posting!

Check out the bio of Faron: Live Fast, Love Hard a Faron Young story by Diane Diekman,

  • Faron you were the king of the crooners .. nobody could sing a song like you. you just looked like you were having as much fun as the people. I miss you already but you are gone. sad to say R.I. P. OLLD SHERRIFF.

  • faron young the best song brilliant plus i could hear every word nice guy but a sad ending for him

  • One more little FYI, on the 45 rpm of this song, it shows Faron has sole writer credit. Not bad.

Step One Records # SOR 390

  • This live version is so much better than the recording. If the the record had this much punch it would have probably done better. But none of the old timers were charting much in 1988 when the song was released.

  • It should have been a number one hit.
