Ask a Sister of Mercy why she decided to profess vows and join one of the largest communities of women religious in the world and shell tell you: To make a difference.

In parts of New York State, Pennsylvania, the Philippines and places in between, nearly 500 Sisters of Mercy have made that decision to change the lives of others by taking vows of chastity, poverty, obedience and a fourth vow: serving people who are sick, poor and uneducated. Youll find our sisters in teaching, healthcare, pastoral services, social services, justice and spirituality ministries.

Perhaps, you are interested in a life of community, prayer, contemplation and action. If you are a Catholic, single woman ‒ especially between the ages of 20-40 ‒ God could be calling you to a life of Mercy.
