Super Hero Crackdown - Hollywood Boulevard

HOLLYWOOD, Ca. - May 28th, 2010. At 6:55pm PT, police arrest costumed characters in front of the Kodak Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. The individuals that dress up in these costumes are not employed by any company, rather they receive tips from tourists for either taking pictures with them, or watching them perform. In Hollywood, there has been a history of arresting the costumed characters for reasons ranging from general fighting to aggressive panhandling.

@oidrummer60 I know right?? I walk around Hollywood all the time and the cops haven't caught me selling drugs near the back exit of Hollywood high school on Orange ave. one block south of the kodak theater at 3:25pm everyday.

Christopher,(the superman) gave so many shots for us and also offered some candies to my kid for no money at all even though we offered him money. At the end of the day they are spending their whole day in make-ups and standing just for giving us fun. The fantasies they fulfil for the kids is priceless. If we can pay just couple of dollars, I dont see anything wrong in that. Everyone may not be good always all through the day but that doest mean that all should be consisdered as wrong.

How scary!!! haha I used to do this on the side to pay for college and so I can eat I thought this was harmless... Wow. Oh and my friend was dicovered being a character now he is on a Tv show called "The Gates" Hmmm So I think this is dumb.. I am happy the red head got arrested she was horrible lol. I played "Gissele from Enchanted" I used to sing for tips it was fun!! And the kids were so cute!!!
