I'm not sure who you are, but you need to look up current bicycle laws. The white line on the side of the road FYI is a fog line. I have ridden this road more times than most and have not had too many bad experiences with motorists. Although, it sounds like you may be the bad experience many cyclists are talking about. Chris

Bicyclists are not restricted to the shoulder of the road. Please cite the law that makes you believe this to be the case.

they are not restricted to the shoulder of the road. No use arguing about this on the internet. Look up the laws for yourself,

If you mean the cyclists are crossing the yellow line into the lane of oncoming traffic. You're completely right, they shouldn't be doing that.

However if you mean bicyclists are restricted to the shoulder on the right side of the road you're mistaken.

They are restricted to the other side of the white line...the line that was made for them. I have driven down this time many a time and yes i can understand that sometimes there isnt alot of space on the other side and sometimes none at all (and usually there is a cliff to one side) so if there is nobody behind you then its fine if you ride in the road but if a car is behind you and needs to go faster than whatever speed your going it is your responsability to let the person pass immediatly!

Bicyclists are not restricted to the shoulder of the road. Neither are shoulders made especially for bicyclists. Pleases cite the laws that led you to this conlusion.

so your saying that byciclists are free to ride in the middle of your lane when your are trying to drive faster then they are going?

A bike rider should ride as far to the right as safely possible to let faster traffic pass them by when safe.

But how much delay does a biker really cost a driver on king's mt.? I'd no more harass a biker on kings mt. than I would an old lady driving 45mph on 280.

Your comment about "it's not your road" seems less about sharing the road and more about bikers on "your" road.

FTR I'm much more likely to be in car stuck behind a biker than riding a bike.

dont get me wrong byciclists have every right to be on kings mtn but you cant deny that many MANY byciclists are VERY rude and dont let the cars pass. ALso ive timed it behind a bycilist and it is about 15 min more beleive it or not
