Mr. Freeman was awarded the Medal of Honor for his valor at Ia Drang, Valley, Vietnam in 1965. He was an honored guest and speaker at my husbands annual Aviation Ball, October 13, 2007. My husband is in the Idaho National Guard 1-183rd Aviation Battalion at Gowen Field, Boise, ID

The lights were turned down low and I had not intended to video Maj Ed Freeman, it was an after thought when I realized that what he was going to say was OUR history and wanted to preserve that momment. I am a soldiers wife and was seated while dinner was being served. I could not get up and video close up because of my situtation so I taped from where I sat. Im sorry the quality was poor but I hope you at least LISTENED to his story and the reason for posting this video.. to share it.

One more thing. Great video. However, there should be silence when a CMOH recipient is speaking. The banging and rattling in the room is annoying, and completely disrespectful while this man is speaking. Just my opinion. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I agree with you about the noise. Unfortunatly, MAJ. Freeman was speaking "WHILE" dinner was being served and eaten by the entire 1-183rd Battalion and spouses. I can honestly say that I, did not touch my plate and my food went untouched as I was fasinated by MAJ. Freeman while I recorded him speak. Sorry, about the noise and that it was so dark they had the lights turned down.
